[ There's some shuffling as Vita prepares for the video. She's sitting on a bench in the city with her Aron next to her and her Zubat on her shoulder. ]
Hey. I'm Vita. Got some questions.
The gym. What's it like? I doubt something like a Pokemon gym can just be beaten after I walked through some grass, right? It's their first gym fight [ she motions to her Pokemon with her head ] and I don't wanna... ye know, just... Not gonna take em too soon and freak em out. Any suggestions for when we should go?
Oh, and 'bout them. "Aron" and "Zubat". Anyone ever had one? I wanna train these two as best I can, so any pointers on what they... I duno, like eating or... something. I'd like to know.

Ieyasu has said much the same, but there is little point to naming creatures whose sole use appears to be as weapons.

As for nicknames, I don't see why anyone wouldn't come up with something. It's pretty redundant to call them by their species, if you ask me.

Anyway, I just pick names that suit their type or species. Flare's my Charizard, Phantom's my Haunter. Not the most original, but they don't mind.
